Designated Safeguarding Adults Lead (Equivalent to Level 3)
This is a new course on the Sheffield Safeguarding Adults Training Programme. This course is designed for organisations who have a staff working in the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead or Safeguarding Officer or Safeguarding Lead. It will focus on providing these nominated roles with the knowledge and skills to support staff to identify, report and record safeguarding concerns. It also looks at identifying what cases may meet the safeguarding criteria and how referrals should be made and the role of the designated person in any enquiries.
This course will cover:
- The Care Act- Statutory Criteria for Decision Making
- The role of the Designated Safeguarding Adults Lead
- Good practice in responding to Safeguarding concerns
- How to raise a Safeguarding Concern
Only 5 people are allowed from each organisation, this is to make this multi agency. Unfortunately we will remove any more than 5 if the course has a waiting list to allow others from a different organisation to join the course.
