Safe Places

Presenter: Chloe Wilks

We are a Sheffield Safe Place

Sheffield Safe Places aims to support adults who may feel vulnerable when they are out and about in Sheffield. If someone needs help, for example they are lost, ill or frightened, then they can enter the nearest safe place to get help. We are a part of a national scheme of organisations across the country that want to be a safe refuge for people.

Here at Heeley City Farm along with our adults who have lived experience of feeling vulnerable in the community or want to teach people about their disability, we train up organisations in Sheffield to make them more inclusive, supportive and friendly.

Discover how Sheffield Safe Places helps people feel safer and more supported in their community. This session will cover the Safe Places scheme, supporting vulnerable individuals, improving accessibility, using Keep Safe Cards, and connecting people with the right services and support.
