Sheffield Mind Magpies Project (Supporting people who have difficulty with Hoarding)
Sheffield Mind Magpie Project
The Magpies Project, within Sheffield Mind, offers support, education & engagement in hoarding behaviours to both clients (those in need of help) and fellow professionals working in the field.
Our mission statement is to support people to better address their hoarding behaviours & improve their home environment, raise awareness & understanding of the issue of hoarding & contribute to the recycling of discarded products.
Our ethos is to work in a person – centred way, alongside the client, to support & empower them to make decisions about their items & to address their hoarding behaviours.
Funded by the National Lottery (Reaching Communities), services include a variety of 1:1 & Group support including CBT and Art Therapies & an Introduction to Hoarding Workshop for partner professionals to increase awareness & understanding about hoarding.
