The Coercive Control (CC) Victim Escalation Timeline Training

The CC Victim Escalation Timeline is a framework for understanding risk escalation patterns in intimate partner relationships where Coercive Control and Stalking are present.  The Victim Escalation Timeline represents a typical journey identified in research which explains how victims may be escalating towards self-harm or violence.

The training is designed for professionals who respond to disclosures of domestic abuse or Stalking, and those who manage offenders. The Victim Escalation Timeline training is intended for learners who have already undertaken Homicide Timeline training and thus have an understanding of Coercive Control, Stalking and the 8 stages of the Homicide Timeline.

The training focuses on the victim’s thinking and increasing entrapment. The training is for 2 hours and covers suicide, violent resistance homicides and hidden homicides.

The training is presented in webinar format and includes Professor Jane Monckton Smith’s research in this area and films from families bereaved through Suicide.
